Thanksgiving 2021 with the Knotthinks

 To lighten things up this Thanksgiving, I thought I’d give our blog readers an update on recent construction projects completed by the Knotthink Family. Here is a link to our previous check in with this construction challenged family.

To those that aren’t familiar with the the Knotthinks:

The Knotthink family has several members who are in design or building. Guy Knotthink, the family patriarch, is now retired. His son, Will Knotthink, is a general contractor. Will’s sister, May Knotthink, is an interior designer.  And, Will’s other sister, Ivana Knotthink, is an architect.

Of late, Will Knotthink has been doing work for for his township’s roads department. Recent road improvement supervised by Will includes these:

Highway 13
Will’s talents illuminated
Will can build around, or over, any obstacle

Interior designer May Knotthink has been busy too . . .

As always bathrooms remains a particular challenge for the Knotthinks

This Knotthink Women’s room is doubly challenged.
Ivana Knotthinks own home. I thought her bath was a role. or roll, model for many of her projects.

Now and again, Main Line Kitchen Design will continue to check in on the intriguing Knotthink family.

Until we do, here’s one last Knotthink building that we know at least Yogi Bear would approve of. We think it’s a Boo Boo though.

Kitchen Story contest winner announced!

  Congratulations to   b.e.stack   our Kitchen Story Contest Winner. b.e.  won $500 for her very creative letter to the editor from a home built in 1920 complaining about a magazine article minimizing the importance of the kitchen! Janice O’Brien  gets honorable mention, and a small award, for her look back at a 1955 kitchen in her sentimental story  40 Clinton Avenue . Thanks to everyone else that entered our contest. I enjoyed reading all of the stories and we are sending a small thankyou to everyone that entered. Our contest was judged by my sister Alison Bullock, a short story writer herself. Alison’s quirky stories always resonate with me. All stories were judged by Alison, without input from me, and after I removed all identifiable information on the authors.   Why do red flags go up when Main Line Kitchen Design receives an email like the one below? How did you hear about us: Friend or Family Referral Message Body: Hi- I love your blog and have spent hours reading your web site. We are located in Northern New Jersey. Can you help us? We will need about 18 cabinets and the other trims of course.  We had to return an entire American Woodmark (Home Depot) purchase yesterday due to paint and construction issues on 50% of their cabinets.
